FIDE International Organizer (FIO) Seminar

In conjunction with the 16th Malaysian Chess Festival 2019, there will be a FIDE International Organizer (FIO) Seminar held in Cititel Midvalley Hotel from 13th – 15th August 2019. Mr. Ignatius Leong (IA, IO) will be the Lecturer. A very professional and vastly experienced Arbiter & Lecturer, Mr. Ignatius Leong (IA, IO) has agreed to come to Kuala Lumpur to conduct this Seminar. Potential Organizers, Arbiters, NA’s, FA’s & IA’s should not miss this opportunity to attend the Lectures. Parents and Coaches are also encouraged to attend the Lectures to expand and increase their knowledge of Chess.

FIDE World Youth Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships (U14, U16, U18 Boys/Open & Girls)

International Chess Federation (FIDE), Spanish Chess Federation (FEDA), and the World Youth Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2019 Organizing Committee, have the honor to invite all the FIDE member Chess Federations to participate in the 3rd FIDE World Youth Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2019 (under 14, under 16 and under 18 years old – open and girls), which will take place in Salobreña, Spain, between September the 10th, 2019 (arrival) and September 14th, 2019 (departure).

Criteria to qualify for this event:

  1. The player must finish top 4 in NYCC 2019 in their respective category contested
  2. This event does not offer any free board / lodging to official player.
  3. Players who fulfil the minimum FIDE elo rating ceiling based on the chart listed below can apply to go as Additional player.

4th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship

Thailand Chess Association (TCA) under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) and World Chess Federation (FIDE) invites all Asian national/regional chess federations to participate in the 4th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, during 1st August (Arrival) – 10th August (Departure) 2019.

Criteria to qualify for this event:

  1. The player must finish top 4 in NYCC 2019 in their respective category contested
  2. The position of Official player shall be awarded to the player in the sequence of NYCC 2019 results ie Champion, followed by 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Result of Official players will be published on 4th July 2019.
  3. Players who finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th during NYCC 2019 can apply to go as Additional player. As for Additional player application, you must write in before 7th July 2019.
  4. Players who fulfil the minimum FIDE elo rating ceiling based on the chart listed below can apply to go as Additional player. You must write in before 7th July 2019.

Paduka Ayahanda Almarhum Sultan Ahmad Shah Al Musta’in Billah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar

Under the patronage of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong
Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, the Royal Palace of Pahang has been a great supporter for chess development in the State of Pahang and the country, and it is well echoed in the Palace involvement at many National and International level events organized by the Persatuan Catur Negeri Pahang.

As a mark of respect, and in view of the Pahang Palace close relationship with the Pahang chess community, the Malaysian Chess Federation and the Persatuan Catur Negeri Pahang as the organizer of the event,
has agreed to postpone The Malaysian Chess Championship 2019 to start on Wednesday, 29th May 2019 with Kuantan, Pahang and Grand Continental Hotel to remain as its venue.

As President of the Malaysian Chess Federation (MCF), we seek the understanding of our chess community during this trying period for the State of Pahang, and continue your undivided support for the event and the development of chess in Malaysia as a whole.

Belt and Road China Hunan International Chess Open

The Belt and Road China Hunan International Chess Open will be held in Tongguanyao town, Changsha city, Hunan Province China from 28th July(arrival) to 7th August(departure)2019.

There will be three open tournaments(A, B and C) according to the rating of the participants.

This is an Open event so players can register directly with the organizers. Not require to register via MCF.

No entry will be accepted after 5th July 2019. Payment has been paid for are not refundable.

Closing date is 5th July 2019.

Asian Cities Chess Team Championship (DUBAI CUP) 2019

The Bangladesh Chess Federation has the honor to invite MCF to participate in the Asian Cities Chess Team Championship for the DUBAI CUP from 9th to 18th July, 2019 at FARS Hotel & Resorts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The deadline for application submission to MCF is 24 May 2019.
