FIDE has recently kicked off its Global Women’s Online Chess Challenge a.k.a “The Queens’ Festival” which offers a series of continental and global women’s online chess tournaments, seminars and activities starting from 11th June 2021. Organized by the FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess in cooperation with FIDE Events Commission, the event is also supported by the Asian Chess Federation, African Chess Confederation, European Chess Union, and Confederation of Chess for Americas aimed at developing a strong global women chess community with the hope of enhancing women participation in all aspects of their chess life.

And as the name suggests, the Festival and all its activities and tournaments are only open for Women from all over the world

Seminars offered throughout the Queen’s Festival organized by FIDE

For those who are interested to participate in the blitz tournament organized during the Festival, please CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD the event Rules and Regulations to better understand its requirement. Briefly, the Queens Festival tournaments are divided into Regional qualification rounds played over 11 round Swiss using a time control of 3 minutes + 2 seconds. The Asia qualification rounds will start on 12th June 2021
