Queens’ Chess Festival returns in July

The FIDE Queens’ Online Chess Festival which offers a-Women-only series of blitz tournaments via all four continents, will be making its return to the global calendar this July. The 3rd edition of the online event which scheduled from the 2nd until the 16th of July via Tornelo platform will be organized by the FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess.

The event is open to all women chess players regardless of rating and age and it is totally free! The event will be divided into two main competitions – the Queens’ Women Open Tournament and the Unrated Princesses’ tournaments.

The Queens Women Open are only for players with FIDE ID and the preliminary event will run from the 1st until the 9th of July, whereas the
Unrated Princesses’ tournament is reserved for Girls below the age of 16 (Born on or after the 1st of January 2007) and without any FIDE rating.

With Olympiad 2024 to be held in Budapest, Hungary, the winners of both events will be invited to attend the 45th World Chess Olympiad with tickets and full-board accommodation for 3 days to witness the event’s Opening Ceremony. Interested players who are keen to participate can register directly without going through MCF. However, MCF request that players update their participation by informing mcfsecretariat@malaysiachess.org for records purposes.
