With many countries including Malaysia gradually moving into the endemic phase of post COVID19 era, many Over-The-Board events have returned to color our chess activities. But while many are beginning to enjoy the excitement of a physical event – with a packed crowd at the many chess events organized over the past few weekends, there is still a huge portion of the chest community that still enjoys the comfort of playing online tournaments. With chess being able to dominate both the online and virtual platforms, it seems clear that chess has the potential to become one of the more popular sports in Malaysia and around the world.

But, back in the country, the following events have been approved, scheduled, or waiting to be approved by the MCF Tournament Committee and/or its state affiliates.
