A total of 11 players applied for a place as the Malaysian Official Representatives to the World Youth in Romania, and another 5 for the World Cadets in Georgia. With the application window closing on the 30th of June 2022 – and after careful selection from the MCF Selection Committee, the following players were selected as the official MCF/Malaysia representative for the event. For the Cadets event, all those that applied were automatically selected as there were no other players interested to participate.

For the Cadets event our representatives are:
1 – Ram Narayana for the U8 Open event
2 – Livia Foong for the U8 Girls event
3 – Aira Qaleesya Azrin Azuan for the Girls U10 event
4. Kavin Mohan for the Open U12 event
5. Ashwiniy Kumaran for the Girls U12 event

For the Youth event, the following have been selected as the official representatives:
1. Uzair Shahar for the U14 Open event
2. Azraa Adeline Azman Mohd Azamanizam for the U14 Girls event
3. Muhammad Emir Rasyid Emran for the U16 Open event
4. Engku Aida Sofea Engku Mohd Hafiz for the U16 Girls event
5. Evelyn Tan Eng Thong for the U18 Girls event

While the Official players have been selected, MCF welcomes those who want to apply as additional players – where the players need to pay for their own accommodation, to participate in the tournament. Players that have been selected for the event, and players who plan to participate at their own cost are requested to confirm their interest by 10th July 2022 as the closing date for the event is only a week away.
