Application to Represent Malaysia at the Asian Amateur in Muscat, Oman is now open!
MCF Secretariat 15/07/2022 0 COMMENTSThe Malaysian Chess Federation is calling Amateur Chess Players in Malaysia – with FIDE Rating below 2000, to apply for the chance to represent Malaysia at the upcoming Asian Amateur Chess Championship 2022 to be held in Muscat, Oman from 28th September until 6th October.

Players who are interested to apply must have both MCF ID and FIDE ID and are requested to fill up the following google form at https://forms.gle/LURW6j3i8CzU9bZA9. A non-refundable application fee of RM30 must also be submitted together with the application. As per the invitation sent by the organizer, one (1) Man and one (1) Woman player will be selected as Malaysia’s official players with accommodations to be provided by the Organizer.
If successful, each official player will need to pay USD 50 as Entry Fees, USD 60 as Registration Fees, and RM 50 as MCF Admin Fees (as there will be no HOD accompanying the players for the trip). The event is also open to other players provided submission is made via MCF. Both fees for the unofficial players shall remain the same with additional payment to be made for accommodation and an additional fee of RM 75 as MCF Admin Fees. Players are also requested to make their own flight arrangements to Muscat, Oman.
While MCF may not be able to provide any funding for players to attend the event, the Federation can prepare a letter of support for players to seek sponsorships or funding from organizations or individual persons to help cover the traveling cost.
