Set to be organized by Sabah Chess Association with Kota Kinabalu as the host city, the event scheduled from 1st to 9th December is open to players from FIDE Zone 3.3 and 3.5 (China). While the organizer will provide accommodation to two(2) official players from each Federation – one(1) boy and one(1) girl, there is no restriction to the number of players that a country can send provided only by seats availability.

All Malaysian players below the ages of 20 are invited to participate in this event as it is not often that Malaysia has a chance to organize a Regional and International event. With eventual winners to earn title and norms (for GM/WGM/IM/WIM), this is an event that aspiring local players would definitely not want to miss.

Registration fee of USD100 and entry fee of USD150 shall be applicable as these are rates imposed by FIDE and ACF. Players from other nationalities are required to contact their National Federations if they are interested to join.

Closing date to register is 1st November 2023 and entries received after this date will be subjected to additional amount as penalty, and accepted at the discretion of the organizer.
