on the recent passing away of

Paduka Ayahanda Almarhum Sultan Ahmad Shah Al Musta’in Billah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar

Under the patronage of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong
Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, the Royal Palace of Pahang has been a great supporter for chess development in the State of Pahang and the country, and it is well echoed in the Palace involvement at many National and International level events organized by the Persatuan Catur Negeri Pahang.

As a mark of respect, and in view of the Pahang Palace close relationship with the Pahang chess community, the Malaysian Chess Federation and the Persatuan Catur Negeri Pahang as the organizer of the event,
has agreed to postpone The Malaysian Chess Championship 2019 to start on Wednesday, 29th May 2019 with Kuantan, Pahang and Grand Continental Hotel to remain as its venue.

As President of the Malaysian Chess Federation (MCF), we seek the understanding of our chess community during this trying period for the State of Pahang, and continue your undivided support for the event and the development of chess in Malaysia as a whole.

Belt and Road China Hunan International Chess Open

The Belt and Road China Hunan International Chess Open will be held in Tongguanyao town, Changsha city, Hunan Province China from 28th July(arrival) to 7th August(departure)2019.

There will be three open tournaments(A, B and C) according to the rating of the participants.

This is an Open event so players can register directly with the organizers. Not require to register via MCF.

No entry will be accepted after 5th July 2019. Payment has been paid for are not refundable.

Closing date is 5th July 2019.

Asian Cities Chess Team Championship (DUBAI CUP) 2019

The Bangladesh Chess Federation has the honor to invite MCF to participate in the Asian Cities Chess Team Championship for the DUBAI CUP from 9th to 18th July, 2019 at FARS Hotel & Resorts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The deadline for application submission to MCF is 24 May 2019.

Malaysian Chess Championship 2019 Update (2 May 2019)

Greetings everyone.

As of today, we have received a total of 46 names that have registered for MCC 2019 – 37 players in the Open Section and 9 players in the Women Section. As we are looking to further promote the event, the last day to register is 14th May 2019 as such, NO PENALTY will be imposed for registration received from 1st until 14th May. No more entries will be accepted after 14th May as that would be the final day to register.
