Although many social, recreational and sporting activities are gradually returning to normal since the nation achieved its 90% vaccination target, Online Chess remain a popular mode of play for tournaments for many chess players. The fact that the game can be played from the comfort of a player’s home continue to be the main attraction for players to seek for online event.

That said, come and join the UPSI Online Chess Championship 2021 to be held on 20th and 21st November offering more than RM 7,500 in cash prizes to the eventual winners. The event will be divided into three(3) main playing categories – Open, U18 and U12, and will be played on the popular TORNELO platform with players require to login to ZOOM application to be monitored by the Arbiter’s Team.
