The Malaysian Chess Federation is opening an exclusive training camps for players who would like to be trained by some of Malaysia’s leading trainers and players, in its effort to further improved and developed the playing skills of local players.
There is NO AGE LIMIT or PLAYING LEVEL (players must have some chess basics) for those who would like to join the camp but for now, entries are limited to only 20 selected players who in turn will each be assigned to be coached by one of the seven(7) leading coaches – including a Grandmaster, for a three(3) months duration starting from June to August 2021.
The six(6) coaches that have agreed to join and lead the first ever MCF Training Camp are GM Ziaur Rahman, IM Yeoh Li Tian, IM Jimmy Liew, FM Lim Zhuo Ren, NM Yeoh Chin Seng, NM Marcus Chan and CM Dr Zaidan Zulkipli with FM Sumant Subramaniam acting as the Head Trainer/Coach and Program Coordinator.
As space is limited, those who are interested to be part of the training program are requested to fill in the following application form at https://form.jotform.com/211330625309446 and provide a proof of payment of RM 20 – as processing fees, for their application to be considered. All applications must be completed and received by MCF Technical Committee / Training Team on or before 28th May 2021. Once the committee has deliberated and decided on the 20 successful applicants, a training fee of RM 200 per month will be required from the successful player – payable at the start of the month before the training session commences. All payments to be credited to MCF account (PERSEKUTUAN CATUR MALAYSIA – CIMB: 8000649725) with proof of payment included in the application form
Should there are more players interested to join the Training Program, MCF may reassess the numbers so that more players are able to join the session. On the same, MCF may also increase the number of trainer – depending on the availability of the current coaches, and the playing levels of those applying.
Come and join us in this exciting program.
