As of today – with just a few more hours before the application link is closed, more than 50 hopefuls and aspiring chess players from various backgrounds and age group, have applied to join the MCF Training Program which is scheduled to start next week.

With the overwhelming response received, the acceptance limit has been increased to 30 players – instead of 20, and some players have already received the good news of being successfully selected for the program, and have been assigned to their respective coach.

Those who are still in the waiting list will be evaluated and where needed, will be interviewed as to why they think they should be selected for the program. Those who did not manage to get any call up or were not selected by the Technical Committee, may still be able to join in July or August as the initial listing of the players will be reviewed and updated by the end of June to see if everyone will continue or will be replaced, or MCF may also add new players to the group.

In any event, CONGRATULATIONS to those who were selected, and and THANK YOU from MCF to everyone who had applied for showing your interest and support for the program.

Thank you Thank You Thank You!!
