With a few more days before the closing date to submit the names of our players to the Organizing Committee of the 6th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship 2022 to be held in Bangkok, almost all players have confirmed their participation in the event. The players are:

U18 (O) – FM Rohan Shan Tze Navaratnam
U18 (G) – Ain Insyrah Rosli
U16 (O) – Tan Yi Xun
U16 (G) – Azraa Adeline Azman Mohd Azamanizam
U14 (O) – Genivan Genkeswaran
U12 (O) – Yee Hao Loong
U12 (G) – Ashwiniy Kumaran
For U10 (G) and U8 (G), the selection committee will announce the names of the selected players within the next few days. For the remaining slots for Official Players, the lack of documentation has created a delay in their confirmation.

A few additional players have also indicated and confirmed their interest to play in the event:
1) Ishaan Quan Tze Navaratnam
2) Nazhan Syahmi Nizam
3) Megat Muhammad Irfan M Mohd Nor

There are also a few other players who have indicated their interest but the necessary documentation and payment.

The Malaysian Chess Federation appeals to those who have been selected or have shown interest to play in the Asian event is requested to contact the Secretariat as soon as possible to enable the Federation to wrap up the submission as soon as possible
