With the closing date to register for the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2022 to end today, the Malaysian Chess Federation has submitted a 16 players squad to the Regional event which will be held in Bali from 13th to 22nd October 2022.

With Iwan Schani Ibnu acting as the Head of Delegation for the squad, the 12 official players are as follows:
1. Ain Insyirah Rosli – U18G
2. Yeoh Yuan Hui – U18O
3. Janice Lim – U16G
4. Sharky Hakim Hamdan – U16O
5. Farihah Nur Aisyah Mohd Azman – U14G
6. Nirish Kumar Siva Kumar – U14O
7. Ashwiniy Kumaran – U12G
8. Kavin Mohan – U12O
9. Aira Qaleesya Azrin Azuan – U10G
10. Praneal Balan – U10O
11. Al-Baaqiyatus Solehah Ahmad Umair – U8G
12. Yap Ray Jin – U8O

The 4 additional players that have agreed to enter the event are:
1. Tharvin Shiva Shanmugam – U12O
2. Thamil Chelvan Poovendtiran – U12O
3. Yashodhan Alagaesan – U16O
4. Luqman Hakeem Erwan – U16O
