With relaxation provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Security Council, many chess organiser have now begun to organize Over-The-Board events. Nonetheless, the need to comply with the SOPs enforced by the relevant government authorities is still a requirement. Hence, organizers are requested to register their event with the Ministry or at risk of being reported and/or summoned for not complying with the regulations. Interested organizers are requested to visit https://www.kbs.gov.my/sop-kbs-mkn.html to learn more about the current SOPs and from then on, to register their event at https://erosa.kbs.gov.my Organizers including officials running such events without the necessary approval may face being blacklisted or have their Arbiter license revoked.

Chess players, parents, organizers, officials, and supporters must understand the need to upkeep the image of our chess community as a unit that complies and is sensitive towards the well-being of our nation from the pandemic.

The Seremban Chess Tournament 2022 has been APPROVED. At the time when the report was first published, it was still awaiting approval from the Tournament Committee.
