As to date, 8 players have confirmed their participation for the ACF Zonal 3.3 Championship (Hybrid Mode) which is scheduled to start from 1st May to 9th May 2021. Two centers will be set up – one in KL and another in Penang, to accommodate for the players to play.

For now, the rate to play in these events is calculated at RM 550 per person plus an additional RM 415 (USD 100) for the entry fees. While ACF has informed that the event is only open to those above FIDE Rating of 1900, those below the rating floor can also apply provided their application is approved by ACF/Organizer. Mathematically, the more people play, the cost of RM 550 can be further reduced to below RM400 if more than 12 player sign up to play – pending approval to play in the event.

Those below FIDE Rating of 1900 who are interested to play, are required to submit (or resubmit – if they were rejected earlier) their interest to mcfsecretariat@malaysiachess.org on of before Thursday 15th April 2021 for an appeal to be made to the Organizer. Please include the following details in your application:
1. Full Name
3. Mobile Number:
4. FIDE Rating
5. Which City are you playing from:
6. Significant Achievement in 2019/2020/2021:
7. Why should you be selected?

Once we have the details, we will submit your names for approval before your participation can be confirmed.
