It is with regret that MCF has to postponed the scheduled Standard U2200 event that is scheduled this weekend to another date later in the year. The reschedule dates will be confirmed later this month – after the Olympiad and Malaysian Chess Festival concludes to allow for better preparation and planning. The proposed new date should be at the end of October or early November 2024.

Players who have signed up for the event can either request for a refund or allow MCF to keep the payment for the rescheduled dates by writing to MCF at mcfsecretariat@malaysiachess.org.

MCF extends its sincerest apologies for any inconveniences caused due to the postponement. For any questions or clarifications, MCF can be contacted via the same email address.

In place of the cancelled event, MCF plans to conduct a fun and more exciting “transfer/double chess” tournament on the same dates starting at 8:30pm at MCF Office. This will be a fun event for double chess enthusiasts but the number of teams participating will be limited to only 16 teams.
