My congratulations on behalf of FIDE to the Malaysian Chess Federation with the International Chess Day.

This year is marked with the participation of best Malaysian chess players at FIDE World Cups in Baku. The spots have been granted to them based on the achievements of the national team at the 2022 Olympiad in Chennai. I applause to this success.

Also, I would like to notice rapid development of youth chess in Malaysia which is the result of the efficient work of the national federation. So, it is not a surprise that Malaysia is the top-rated country without grandmasters and I have no doubt that first top titles are coming to Malaysia very soon.

You can rely on the support of FIDE and I hope that Malaysia will become a host of our future international events.
