With invitation to receive her award at the 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary in 2024.

MCF is proud to announce that 9 year old Melissa Wong was crowned as the Overall Champion for the U9 Girls Unrated Category at the recently concluded Queen’s Online Chess Festival 2023 which was organized by FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess.

As per the announcement made, this would be a dream win for Melissa because as one of the main winners, she is invited to attend the 45th World Chess Olympiad 2024 in Budapest, Hungary for an all paid expenses which include flight ticket, full-board accommodation for 3 days, and invitations to the Opening Ceremony of the Chess Olympiad 2024 for her and one accompanying person.

CONGRATULATIONS to young Melissa Wong as we celebrate the brilliant successes of our junior players at the world platform which we hope will inspire more younger talents to take up chess as their sport of choice.

Malaysian contingent to the Olympiad next year will look forward to celebrate the triumph of our young Malaysian player stealing the limelight at the biggest chess competition in the world.
