Participants from 16 different countries battled it out over 7 rounds to win the rapid tournament that was held one day before the main event. In the final round, FM Poh Yu Tian took down Philippines FM Gian Karlo to secure the first place for U180 category.

Malaysia won first place overall in the U18O with 15 cumulative scores. 6 points contributed by FM Poh Yu Tian, 5 points by Wee Yin Lin and 4 points by Chong Jin Cheng.

In the U18G category, WFM Chong Kai Ni Agnes, Adira Addawiyah Aziz, and Chong Rou Yi each scored 4.5, 4 and 3.5 to be the runner-up as a team.

Azraa Adeline Azman almost made it to the podium as she finished in 4th place with slightly lower tiebreaks. Nevertheless, the Malaysian team took second place in the U16G with 12.5 points just half a point behind first place Mongolia. Adeline scored 5 points, Kaseh Dania Izani scored 4 points and Katherine Samantha with 3.5 points.

Lee Yun Rui and Kavin Mohan won first and second place for U14O category, each scored 6 and 5.5 points. Followed by Peh Yi Feng with 5 points, total scores confirmed Malaysia to grab the first place overall.

We also grabbed first place overall for U14G with team scores of 13. Three players finished in top 10 namely, WNM Ainul Mardhiah Mohd Afif, Ain Insyirah Rosli and Yvonne Yeoh Xin Ying.

Nathan Sakti, Qaleesya Soffiya Hisam and Lim Yijia Claire managed to finish in second place as a team with 11.5 points in the U12G category.

In U10G, Nathan Maha, Lim Yihui Sophia and Mohan Sanvinaa won the third place as a team with cumulative scores of 9.5 points.

Lastly, in the U8O, Senthilkumar Tharveen with 5 points clinched third place right behind first place South Korea and second place China.
