The Malaysian Chess Federation is moving ahead with its Hybrid Online series by organizing the second Hybrid event – the 1st National Hybrid Online Juniors U20 Open and Girls Chess Championship 2020, which is scheduled for 9th and 10th January 2021

The National Junior event is open to all players born in the year 2000 or later (although in 2021 some players will already reached 21 years old) as this event is considered as 2020 series – postponed due to COVID19 pandemic.

Total prize fund offered is RM 1,400 for the Open/Boys section and another RM 1,000 for the Girls Section, with special prizes to be given to Unrated, Para and U12 players. Those who have done well in the event will also be considered for selection as Malaysian Players to International level events organized by FIDE/ACF or ASEAN, or any other organizations where Malaysia is invited to send its representatives.

The Hybrid Online will be played over Tornelo.com platform and players are required to register with the website using their real name.
