IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Having met with the venue provider for the Interschool Championship and the Open Team Chess Championship, MCF would like to inform that the dates for these events will be changed to later dates in the year due to space unavailability. MCF will make the announcement soon and regrets any inconveniences caused by the change.
The venue for the Interschool will remain at the International Youth Centre (IYC) Kuala Lumpur, with the dates shifted to the 16th and 17th of May 2026.
The Open Team Rapid event, which was earlier scheduled for the 13th of September, has been shifted to the 16th of September 2026 to coincide with the Malaysia Day holiday, with the venue to remain at the International Youth Centre as well.
For the PMX event, while MCF hopes to maintain the venue at its original location, there is a high probability that the event will be shifted to a different venue within Klang Vallley.
