One School will be selected by the Malaysian Chess Federation to represent Malaysia at the inaugural world event. Is your school good enough to be selected as our Official National Representative?

MCF is opening application from schools to be selected as the official Malaysian School to compete at the World School Chess Championship 2023 to be held in Aktau, Kazakhstan from 3rd to 8th August 2023.

The Malaysian Chess Federation has been awarded the exemption to send a team without having to organize the National School Chess Championship – a prerequisite process that is required. With that, MCF now opens application to all Schools (below 18 or below 12 years old) to apply as the official Malaysian representative at the inaugural World event.

Players must come from the same school and must have at least one player from the opposite gender (unless it is an All Boys or All Girls school). Five (5) players per team – 4 boards and 1 reserve, with a teacher to be in charge of the team. All application must be approved by the School principal, and all players must have a valid passport (can apply later), a FIDE ID and an MCF ID.

Interested schools are required to fill up the attached form and return the completed form to ischani10@gmail.com on or before 26th June 2023. Selected school will be informed no later than 1st July 2023.
