The Queens’ Online Chess Festival – an event dedicated to Women Chess Players all over the globe, is back on FIDE’s calendar after a successful inauguration in 2021. The second edition is set to begin on the 5th of June 2022 until its final day on the 26th of June 2022.

A handful of Malaysians took part in last year’s event among the 460 participants from 82 countries who had participated. Many thousands more followed the side events featuring female role model guests and presenters on FIDE social media. With the Year of the Woman in Chess being well underway, the organizers expect even more female players to join this time.

The festival welcomes all women chess players from around the world of all ages and all rating groups, including unrated chess fans.

The competition will run be held in four rating categories:
Category A: 2000 and higher
Category B: 1800-1999
Category C: 1600-1799
Category D: <1600, unrated

As the organizer/FIDE only accepts registrations via the National Federation, those interested to participate in the event are requested to CLICK HERE to register. Registration and Admin fee for players with MCF ID is RM70 and for those without MCF ID is RM100 which includes the event fees of EURO10 per player. Please register before 29th May 2022 to allow MCF enough time to register and make the necessary arrangement for the event.
