The Malaysian Chess Federation held its Q2 Online Blitz on 27th June last week with 58 players taking part in the quarterly event. While the number of players have dwindled slightly from 94 players in the Q1 edition, a few notable players took part in the event led by Chan Sheng Yip, FM Wong Yinn Loong, FM Rohan Shan Tze, FM Lye Lik Zang, CM Tan Jun Ying and WCM Chua Jia-Tien.
After 11 rounds of play, Chan Sheng Yip maintain his position as the top ranked player edging FM Wong Yinn Loong by the better tie break when both players were tied at 9.5 points each. CM Tan Jun Ying was the sole 8.5 pointer for the event finishing in 3rd place.
