MCF CONGRATULATES EllieEmira Syamimi Ahmad Nazari as Malaysia’s first Female to be awarded the title of International Arbiter (IA) by the Arbiter’s Commission and approved by FIDE at its 1st Council meeting which sat on the 4th of April 2023 in Mexico City, Mexico. Shy of her 23rd birthday, Ellie also holds the record as the youngest Malaysian to achieve such a title from FIDE, and based on the pool of Arbiters that we have today, it will be a tough achievement for others to beat in the years to come.

MCF also congratulates five (5) new FIDE Arbiters (FA) that were also approved at the same council meeting which also includes two (2) more Female Arbiters. Malaysia welcomes our new FAs in the form of:
1. Muhd Saiful Asyraf Ahmad
2. Muhd Harris Imran Jamaluddin
3. Mohd Dzulhairy Abdul Rahim
4. Selvi Shanmugam
5. Manogiri Sadasivam

Please join us to CONGRATULATE our new Arbiters in our combined effort to elevate, improve and develop chess in the country.
