List of events approved by MCF starting from February until April 2023. The list contains a mix of events that are both FIDE Rated, National Rated, and non-Rated events as well including the recently concluded Agrobank National Scholastic Chess Championship 2023.

In the usual case, approval from the Commissioner of Sports (COS), is required before the event can proceed as such, MCF continues its appeal to the chess community to adhere to this ruling as the penalty for non-adherence can be steep and may create a negative impression towards the chess community for being unprofessional. This is in accordance with the Sports Development Act 1997 which clearly states that all sporting events must obtain approval from the COS before they are executed.

All in all, MCF wishes all the best and success to all organizers, officials, players, parents, supporters, the chess community, and the public in general, in our effort to make chess a more professional and better-organized sports entity in the country.
