FIDE is organizing its first ever FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship scheduled from 19th February to 21st February 2021. Based on the information, each Corporate is required to field four (4) players per round with at least one (1) player from the opposite gender, and with each team allowed one (1) invited player to represent the team. And in its effort to make the event more competitive, FIDE is allowing only one (1) player with a rating of 2500 or higher to register as a team member

The most interesting part of the event is that the Corporate Team need not pay any registration fees but are required to make donations to either the Seniors Chess Players programs, and/or the Children Chess Education programs which FIDE is championing as its ongoing development campaigns. Time control is 10 minutes + 2 seconds increment and all games will be played over www.chess.com platform which is FIDE’s program partner for this historic event. While participants are encouraged to play from their corporate office – where travelling is permitted, playing from other venues such as a player’s home, may also be accepted.
