Organized by the ASIAN Chess Federation (ACF) under the auspices of FIDE, the National Chess Federation of the Philippines will be hosting the 2022 edition of the ASEAN Youth Zone 3.3 Youth Chess Championship to be held from 19th to 21st April 2022 via TORNELO Online platform.

The Championship will be divided into age group categories – Open and Girls U08, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18, and players interested to play in the event must not have exceeded the respective age limit on 1st January 2022. For example – to be eligible to play in the U08 category, the player should be born on or after 1st January 2014.

There is no limit to the number of participants from each country as long as a player is registered to play via their respective nation Federation. Please take note that MCF reserves the right to limit certain entries as and when necessary but at the same time, MCF also aspires to send record participation from Malaysia. The event will be an eye-opener for young Malaysians who are keen to improve and gauge their abilities against peers from other countries within the region. It will also open opportunities for players to gain knowledge and experience, and foster friendships with fellow ASEAN players. Please read the following documentation for more information and clarification prior to signing up for the event.

The participation fees for the event shall be RM150 which is similar to last year’s EASTERN ASIAN Chess Championship. However, in view of the recent launching of the MCF Registration program, those who have already registered with MCF via the MCF Registration Portal are required to pay only RM120 to participate in the event. The payment is inclusive of the event entry fees of USD 25 (to be paid to the organizer), and MCF Admin fees to submit, prepare and organize the team including appointing HOD(s) to manage the team during the tournament.
