As of today, a total of 427 players have registered to play in the various age categories offered at the AGROBANK National Scholastic Chess Championship 2023.

Starting from Friday, 27th January 2023, the age group event will end on Sunday, 29th January 2023 with the official closing to be officiated by the Miniter of Youth and Sports – YB Menteri Puan Hannah Yeoh, who has agreed to attend the event.

During the event, other side events will also take place including the Malaysian Chess Federation Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Saturday, AGROBANK Closed Chess Tournament an internal event for Agrobank staff, and a documentary shooting on chess which will feature Malaysia’s number one players – IM Yeoh Li Tian and WIM Siti Zulaikha Foudzi.
