The National Junior Chess Championship 2025 is again set to be held at AEON Mall Klebang Ipoh, Perak – the same venue as last year’s, from 14th to 16th February 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Persatuan Catur Perak and the management of AEON Mall Klebang, the event is meant for players who are below 20 years old born on or after 1st January 2005, and is opened only for Malaysian citizens as it will be the selection platform for official representatives to the ASIAN and ASEAN events of the same age group.
Similar to last year’s format, the time control deployed shall be 45 minutes + 30 seconds increments played over 7 rounds using the Swiss Manager pairing system. Winners will be awarded with medals and e-certificates, with the eventual champion to earn a trophy for his and her effort. All players will receive an e-certificate of participation for participating in the event.
