Malaysians Youth To Participate At The 25th Asian Youth Chess Championship in Al-Ain, UAE

Eight (8) Malaysian youngsters will be taking part in the up coming 25th Asian Youth Chess Championship 2023 to be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates from the 12th to the 22nd of December 2023.

Headed by MCF Chief Information Officer – Iwan Schani Ibnu, the players are:
1. Haqqi Mohd Hatta – U8 Open
2. Keertieshvar Saravanan – U10 Open
3. Ernest Yek Zu Yang – U14 Open
4. Darshan Revinthran – U16 Open
5. Nik Aimee Camilla Nik Ahmad Farouqi – U8 Girls
6. Ainul Mardhiah Mohd Afif – U14 Girls
7. Nur Uzma Bazilah Mohd Tarmizi – U16 Girls
8. Nur Batrisya Wafa Mohsen – U18 Girls

For WNM Ainul Mardhiah, this will be her 2nd consecutive outing after her maiden event in Italy last month. With a very promising performance in Italy, it would be interesting to see how Ainul will manage her performance this time around in an Asian level event.

Out of the 8 players in the team, this will be a first time outing for Darshan Revinthran as most of the other players, have already had experienced participating in away from home event.
