In view that the upcoming 2025 SEA Games will feature ASEAN Chess and Makruk Chess in addition to the Standard Chess offered as medal events, MCF is looking for players and officials including trainers and enthusiasts who are keen to be a part of the initiative to promote, train and organize events and activities at our MCF Office. At the end of it all, MCF hopes to select players and officials to represent Malaysia at next year’s SEA Games 2025 in Thailand, and potentially, to other regional events that are organized around ASEAN.
Those who are keen to learn, or contribute to train or share knowledge, are invited to contact MCF Secretariat at mcfsecretariat@malaysiachess.org or +6016.338.2542. The first order of business is to organize a short meeting with everyone who are interested to contribute, followed by introduction sessions, training sessions, and tournaments starting from October onwards.
For those who would like to learn more about what ASEAN Chess and Makruk Chess are, please click on https://www.pychess.org/variants/asean and select the appropriate variation.
