Twenty (20) aspiring trainers and coaches took part in the second edition of the Train-The-Trainer and Coach Program organized by the Malaysian Chess Federation over the weekend in Shah Alam, Selangor. Hosted by Nik Ahmad Farouqi’s Chess Center located in Kemuncak Alam, the 2-day program was attended mostly by participants from around the Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Terengganu.

Facilitated by MCF Secretary – Najib Abdul Wahab, the Train-The-Trainer and Coach Program is an entry level training program that provides trainers and coaches the proper and structured approach to conducting training for potential students. The program also provide a glimpse of interesting data and outlook to understand better the time and effort that it may take for a player to earn the elusive GM title – one which Malaysia is still lacking.
