Twenty (20) aspiring trainers and coaches took part in the second edition of the Train-The-Trainer and Coach Program organized by the Malaysian Chess Federation over the weekend in Shah Alam, Selangor. Hosted by Nik Ahmad Farouqi’s Chess Center located in Kemuncak Alam, the 2-day program was attended mostly by participants from around the Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Terengganu.

The program also provide a glimpse of interesting data and outlook to understand better the time and effort that it may take for a player to earn the elusive GM title – one which Malaysia is still lacking.
The 3rd edition of the Train-The Trainer and Coach Program is planned sometime in the middle of the year before the upcoming SUKMA event to which is scheduled to start from 17th August 2024 in the city of Kuching, Sarawak.
