There was quite a large crowd sending off the Malaysian Youth Squad to the FIDE World Youth Chess Championship 2023 to be held in Montesilvano, Italy which is scheduled to kick off tomorrow. Consisting mostly of the player’s family members, friends, sponsor and MCF officials, it was a joyful send off for our 5 junior players comprising of Subhaashini Siva Prakash, Farihah Nur Aisyah Mohd Azman, Ainul Mardhiah Mohd Afif, Kaseh Irsya Dania Mohd Nurul Izani and Anderson Ang Ern Jie . Poh Yu Tian had earlier agreed to join but had to decline due to unavoidable personal matters.

MCF is also proud to announce that it had secured a small sponsorship for Ainul Mardhiah – who is also Malaysia’s National Women Champion. Judy Chong who represents Tuck Sun Logistics Group as Main sponsor and CoSponsor Rotary Club of Bandar Utama, was there to join the sending off.

Led by MCF Vice President II – Muhammad Firdaus Ismail, the Federation wishes all the players the best of luck, and successes in their aspiration to become better chess players in the future.
