The Conquest of Malaysia’s U7 Prodigies at the Asian Zone 3.3 Chess Competition 2025 in Jakarta

The Malaysian Chess Federation proudly congratulates our young national prodigies for their outstanding performance at the Asian Zone 3.3 School Chess Competition 2025, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Our Under-7 champions have brought glory to Malaysia with an impressive set of achievements:

🥇 Gold Medals – U7 Boys & Girls Individual Categories

🥈 Silver Medals – U7 Boys & Girls Team Categories

Held from 28–30 August, this Merdeka-season triumph was made even more special by the brilliance of two youngsters. Alisya Zehra, competing in the U7 Girls category, emerged as the undefeated champion in a 7-round round-robin event. Meanwhile, Diyaz Ayden clinched victory in the U7 Open, proudly securing the gold for Malaysia.

These victories highlight the discipline, talent, and sportsmanship of our rising stars, proving that age is no barrier to excellence. By raising the Jalur Gemilang on the international stage, they have inspired Malaysians everywhere and shown the bright promise of the next generation of chess players.

MCF also extends heartfelt gratitude to the coaches, parents, and supporters who stood firmly behind these young champions, guiding and encouraging them every step of the way.

Two other Malaysians also shone in Jakarta: Aisya Azzahra Muhd Amirul Izzat (U7 Girls) who finished in a shared 4th place, and Muhd Zayn Zafran Muhd Hafizi (U7 Open), who secured 6th place with 4.5 points.

This victory stands as an inspiration to all young chess enthusiasts across the nation: dream big, work hard, and let your passion for the game lead the way. Together, we continue to grow and strengthen Malaysian chess — Malaysia Boleh!
