The Malaysian Chess Federation is set to have its Annual General Meeting 2020 to be held on 29th October (Thursday) at Olympic Hotel Kuala Lumpur starting at 2:30pm. A formal invitation has been sent with the dateline of 20th October for each State Affiliate to confirm their attendance for the annual event.

The last time MCF held its AGM was on 18th August 2020 in which the current Administrative team was voted into the Committee. Since then, as per the resolution passed at the same AGM, five (5) more appointed positions have been added into committee which included a Deputy President II, a Vice President V, a Chief Information Officer and three (3) Committee Members. As of now, the position of Deputy President II and two (2) Committee Members positions are still vacant.

The Malaysian Chess Federation requests that all eligible State Affiliates to check their emails and revert should they have not received the formal invitation. In order to be eligible for the meeting, as per the Constitutional requirement, the State Affiliates were required to submit their Annual Fees before 1st February 2020 which is the cutoff date for annual registration to be valid.
