Albeit the short timeline that MCF has to prepare our Junior Teams for the ASIAN Nations U14 Online Chess Championship, the response was very encouraging. At the end of it all, 10 boys and 9 girls will now have honors to represent our country at the event which is scheduled to be held from 25th to 27th March 2022

The list of players and their respective teams are as follows:
Malaysia A (Open) team members are Anderson Ang Ern Jie (Board 1), Kavin Mohan (Board 2), Lin Jie Xun (Board 3), Ernest Yek Zu Yang (Board 4) with Wong Qi Zhi as the team’s reserve player.

Malaysia B (Open) team members are Emran Ayman Mohd Faizal (Board 1), Lai Hong Jun (Board 2), Ian Yong Je Pin (Board 3), Ishaan Quan Tze Navaratnam (Board 4) with Tan Rui Ze as the team’s reserve player.

For the Malaysia A (Girls) team, the lineup is Ibroh Nawwaarah Mohd Faris (Board 1), Azraa Adeline Azman Mohd Azamanizam (Board 2), Nureen Darwisyah Insyirah Mohd Bustamanizan (Board 3), Ava Arabella Sheikh Abdullah Munshee (Board 4) with Saffiah Maisarah Mohd Fadzli as the reserve player.

For Malaysia B (Girls) team, the lineup will be sisters Claire Wang Xin Ran and Aimee Wang Xin Yu (Board 1 and 2), Yvonne Yeoh Xin Ying (Board 3), and Subhaashini Siva Prakash (Board 4) with no reserve player.

Head of Delegate and Team Captain shall be MCF CIO Nik Ahmad Farouqi Nik Abdul Aziz.

Hosted by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, the event will be played over 9 rounds using a time control of 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment.
