FIDE has recently announced another major Online event set for 2020 with the inaugural FIDE Online Olympiad for People with Disabilities set to be held from 20th November to 3rd December 2020.
As the number of teams allowed for the Olympiad depends on the number of Paralympians registered with FIDE, the Malaysian Chess Federation is calling for all Chess Paralympians to register with MCF from today until 27th September 2020. MCF will then continue to register the list of our Paralympics Players to FIDE before 30th September 2020 in order to confirm the number of teams that can play in the Olympiad. Sadly as of now, there is no Malaysian Chess Paralympians that are officially registered with FIDE
For Paralympic Chess Players that already has FIDE ID, please download the Player Registration form by clicking the following LINK and return the completed form to mcfsecretariat@malaysiachess.org before 27th September 2020.
For Paralympic Chess Players WITHOUT FIDE ID, please do the same but, at the same time, kindly register your name to apply for the FIDE ID via MCF website https://malaysiachess.org/fide-id-application. When registering for the FIDE ID, please fill in “Paralympic” for the “event” details in the Google ID Application Form. To ensure that all registration is received before 27th September, players without FIDE ID can submit their Player Registration form without the FIDE ID and once the FIDE ID has been created, the player’s name will be matched accordingly and submitted to FIDE for confirmation. Most importantly, for this campaign, FIDE Registration ID for Paralympic Players will be absorbed by MCF i.e. Free of Charge, provided that the Registration is completed before 27th September 2020. This is a one time offer to all Paralympic Chess Players to be more active in the National chess scenario.
The Malaysian Chess Federation looks forward to receiving more Paralympic Chess Players to be part of the National Chess Community and we aspire to send as many teams as we can to the first ever FIDE Online Olympiad for People with Disabilities.
