MCF is opening up application for U8 players who are interested to participate at the FIDE World Cadets Chess Championship to be held in Egypt from 14th to the 27th of October 2023. As an official player, accommodation will be provided by the organizer but players will have to bear the flight tickets and registration/entry fees to participate in the event

MCF is also inviting interested players as additional representatives for Malaysia – from U8, U10 and U12 age groups, to apply but applicants are reminded that they will have to bear the entire cost and expenses in order to play at the world cadets event. The almost 2-weeks event will cost around RM7,500 per player with additional flight cost from KUL to SSH (Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt). The costing is on the high side as players will be staying for almost 2 week in Egypt at an event which uses a standard time control. The event will provide a glimpse of world class playing and settings for players who aspire to become great chess champions in the future.
