6 rounds | 60 minutes + 30 seconds | Open Event
MCF will organize a Standard event for players with FIDE Rating of 2200 and below at its office on 15th and 16th of September 2024 – during the Hari Malaysia long weekend/school holidays. Limited to only 64 players, the event will be played over six(6) rounds using a time control of 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment. The schedule for the event is set as below:
Entry fee is RM60 for players with a FIDE Standard Rating between 2200 and 1800, and RM80 for players with a FIDE Standard Rating between 1800 and 1400. Players without a Standard FIDE Rating will be considered as UnRated and will have to pay an entry fee of RM100.
A total of RM1,100 is offered as prize money based on the following breakdown: Champion – RM400, Runner Up – RM200, 3rd – RM100, Best Cadets U12 – RM100, Best Lady – RM100, Best Veteran (50+) RM100 and Best Unrated – RM100. Best Category prizes will only be awarded if there are 3 or more players playing in the said category (with a score of at least 3 points/50%) otherwise, the organizer reserves the right to remove the prize, or introduce a new category, or to add prizes to the main category of similar value.
