MCF Sends Junior Talents to Represent Malaysia at World Cadet Chess 2025 in Kazakhstan

The Malaysian Chess Federation is proud to announce that seven of our young national talents will be in Almaty, Kazakhstan to compete in the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2025, taking place from 18 September to 1 October 2025.

This prestigious championship, organized by FIDE and the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, will gather the world’s best young players in the Under-8, Under-10, and Under-12 categories (Open & Girls). The tournament will be held at the Baluan Sholaq Arena. 

Representing Malaysia are:

Mohd Shahrul Annuar Muhd Aariz Daniel – Open U8

Soojasan Reashvmittha – Girls U8

Yap Ray Jin – Open U10

Zaidani Zinneerah Annour – Girls U10

Chow Yi Chen – Open U12

Davidson Miara Cruize – Girls U12

Soojasan Aishwarryaa – Girls U12

The event will be played over 11 rounds using the Swiss System, with a time control of 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move. In addition to trophies, medals, and diplomas, direct FIDE titles are also on offer for top performers
