With many mid year events are clearing the MCF annual calendar, events will now return to the office with the 3rd edition of the U2400 Standard event to be held on 19th and 20th July 2025. As per previous series, the event will be played over five (5) or six (6) rounds Swiss event – depending on the number of players, and will employ the Standard Time Control of 60 minutes + 30 seconds per game.
As announced earlier, aside from being FIDE and MCF Rated, this is also a GRAND PRIX (GP) event where players collect points and the top players with the most GP points be invited to play in a RM30,000 prize pool in a knockout format to be held late in the year.

The event offers a total cash prize fund of RM1,400 with the outright winner to earn RM400 for the effort. Additional category prizes are also offered to Best Veteran, Best Lady, Best Below 1800, Best Unrated and best OKU Players – subject to terms and conditions.
