MCF is set to kickstart its 2026 Calendar of events by organizing the MCF Office Blitz on New Year’s Eve, beginning at 10:00 pm, and is expected to conclude by 2:00 am on the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Entry fee to participate is set at RM30 for players with a FIDE Rating and RM45 for Unrated players, while GM/IM/WIM and former National Champions are invited to play for free. The total cash prize offered is RM1,000, with the winner set to win RM200 for his/her effort. Prizes are awarded to the top 10 players, with additional prizes for Best Lady, Veteran, U18, Unrated, and OKU top performers – provided at least 3 players are vying for each category.
The closing date is set for 30th December at 12:00 noon, and players registering after this date are subject to an additional fee of RM15.
