The Malaysian Chess Federation is pleased to share an invitation for our leading players to participate in the Australasian Masters 2025, a prestigious FIDE-rated event to be held from 12–20 December 2025 at the Melbourne Chess Club, Melbourne, Australia.
The Australasian Masters is a 10-player round robin tournament (9 rounds), designed to provide players with opportunities to achieve International Master norms, while bringing together some of the strongest international and regional players. The event plays an important role in promoting high-level competitive chess across Australasia.
The tournament will be played at a classical time control of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move, with all games broadcast online with a 30-minute delay on Lichess and Chess.com.
