MCF is moving forward with the Corporate Day Team Chess Championship to be held on Sunday, 8th December 2024 at Royale Chulan Hotel Damansara starting at 8:30am. To be contested over 6 rounds using a Rapid Time Control of 15 minutes + 30 seconds, the MCF Rated event is offering a prize fund of more than RM10k with the winning organization to earn RM5k for its effort.
Corporates are allowed to field one (1) or two (2) invited players with a higher entry fee of RM1,200 or keep the team within bona fide employees at a lower entry rate of RM900. Teams are required to provide a letter of confirmation from their HR Department or Manager to confirm that players are employees of the organization. No letter is required to confirm the invited players.
The event is also open to companies who would like to sponsor an all OKU Team at RM500 per team.
To promote networking between the corporate sectors and the chess community, the event is also open to Chess Associations/Clubs but limited only to office bearers/committee members with NO INVITED PLAYERS allowed. The Chess Associations/clubs, must be registered with COS (not ROS or SSM), and must provide the latest list of confirmed office bearers/committee members based on their most recent MYKB1 registration list at eRosa portal to form the team. Entry fee is set at RM700 per team.
There is no limit set for the number of teams a corporation or association can send as long as the conditions set are met and fulfilled.
