MCF will be organizing two (2) chess camp sessions for Beginner and Intermediate students who are keen to learn more about chess and improve their understanding on the correct ways to play the royal game. Headed by National Trainer and Program Coordinator Adam Hafiz Jaffri Malin, the Beginner session will be held on 17th and 18th September (Tuesday / Wednesday) whilst the Intermediate session will be held on 19th and 20th September (Thursday / Friday). All sessions will start at 9:00am and will end at 5:00pm and will be held at the newly opened MCF office located in Taman Equine, Seri Kembangan.

According to Program Coordinator Adam Hafiz, the Beginner session is aimed at kids generally between the ages of 6 and 9 years old who exhibit keen interest to play or learn about the game, or has a very basic knowledge of how the pieces move. On the other hand, the Intermediate class will focus more on the slightly older kids between the ages of approximately 8 and 12 who have already know how to play and complete a decent game of chess but lacks understanding on the games basic principles and fundamentals. Do take note that the ages of the participants are used as a general guide as there are younger kids who are already in the Intermediate stage, whilst some of the older kids who may just started to play the game and can be considered as Beginner albeit being older.

Fee for the camp is set at RM200 per person which includes meals (light breakfast, lunch and tea) for all students throughout the session. At the end of each two(2) day program, every students will get an MCF Certificate of Participation as an indicator that they have completed the Chess Camp program organized by the national federation.
