Go Checkmate is inviting players to participate in the 2nd DAV-Go Checkmate International Chess Prix 2026. This international competition, hosted in Singapore, is designed to accommodate players of all ages and proficiency levels.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from 22nd to 27th June 2026 at the DAV Hindi School in Singapore, offering a comprehensive SGD $10,000 prize fund and over 175 trophies and medals across both classical and rapid time controls for open & age-group categories.
The competition comprises five primary categories:
Category A (22nd to 27th June 2026): Grandmaster Norm (Round Robin – Invitational)
Category B (22nd to 27th June 2026): International Master Norm (Round Robin – Invitational)
Category C (22nd to 27th June 2026): International Open Standard (FIDE Rated Swiss System)
Category D (27th June 2026): International Open Rapid (FIDE Rated Swiss System)
Category E (25th June 2026): International Age Group (U8, U12, U18) (FIDE Rated Swiss System)

Tournament Categories
The event caters to all skill levels, from aspiring juniors to seasoned masters looking for norm opportunities:
- Category A (22nd to 27th June 2026): Grandmaster (GM) Norm (Round Robin – Invitational):
- This is a 9-round event played under FIDE Standard time control (90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move). It is open to players with a FIDE rating of 2200 and above.
- Category B (22nd to 27th June 2026): International Master (IM) Norm (Round Robin – Invitational):
- This is a 9-round event played under FIDE Standard time control (90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move). It is open to players with a FIDE rating of 2150 and above.
- Category C (22nd to 27th June 2026): International Open Standard (FIDE Rated Swiss System):
- This is a 9-round Swiss System tournament using FIDE Standard time control (90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move). It is open to all players.
- Category D (27th June 2026): International Open Rapid (FIDE Rated Swiss System):
- This is a 6-round Swiss System tournament played under FIDE Rapid time control (15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment per move). It is open to all players.
- Category E (25th June 2026): International Age Group (U8, U12, U18) (FIDE Rated Swiss System):
- This is a 6-round Swiss System tournament using FIDE Rapid time control (15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment per move). It is open to players in the specified age groups.

The closing date for all registrations is 18 June 2026, at 6:00 PM (Local Time). Please note that participants must have a valid FIDE ID.
