The Malaysian Chess Federation is calling Malaysians who are interested to represent the country at either the Open or Women event at the upcoming 6th ASEAN+ INDIVIDUAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 to be held in Ozamiz City, Philippines from the 2nd until the 10th of November 2025.
Organized by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines, the 6th AICC25 offers free accommodation to the official Open and Women representative of an invited country with a prize fund of more than USD28,000 to the eventual winners. Aside from that, the outright winners of the Open and Women event will earn a direct GM/WGM title and shared leaders will earn the GM/WGM norms with the Runner Up and 3rd place players to earn a direct IM/WIM title.
Aside from the Standard event using 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment over 9 rounds, the 6th AICC25 also offers Rapid and Blitz event with 15 minutes plus 10 seconds increment and 3 minutes plus 2 seconds increment respectively.
Those who are interested to take part are requested to fill in the application form by CLICKING HERE. Take note that an application fee of RM100 is needed to complete the application. If your application is successful, the RM100 can be deducted from the final payment.
Closing date to apply is set for the 8th of October and selected players will be notified by the 10th of October 2025. Other arrangements will be shared by MCF once the player(s) have been selected.
