With both Chess Hacks and KL Chess Academy already filled up to their maximum capacity, players from KL and its surrounding area are recommended to sign up to play at KUPTM Campus in Taman Shamelin Perkasa in order to participate in the MCF KUPTM National Hybrid Online Individual Chess Championship 2021. Situated just at the off skirt of KL City Center, KUPTM – as the co organizer for the event, has provided a sizeable and comfortable venue on its campus for many players to play from, promising a more stable internet connection and a helpful crew for players in need of help.

Other places that are quickly filling up are Bandar Baru Bangi, Kuala Kangsar, both Penang sites in Bayan Lepas and Sungai Dua, and Johor Bahru.

While Putrajaya is also situated in Klang Valley, due to MCO situation where interstate travelling going in and out of Putrajaya is restricted, the center will only cater for players from its own “state” and the arrangement is made specially by the center operator which is managed by Traju Training.

Closing date for the event is 28th March 2021 and while entries have been rather slow since yesterday, the organizer expects more players to sign up starting tomorrow once the weekend begins – marking the start of the first term school break, where students and the working community will begin to plan their schedule for the long week ahead.
